    Antique Ansonia "General" Model Clock

    Previous Model - Next Model
    General

    Catalog Description:

C.1900, Ansonia Clock Co., GENERAL, wall clock 2-weight time only wall regulator in walnut and in very good restored condition. The case had been painted maybe 75 years ago and was recently stripped and finished. You can still see some tiny bits of paint here and there, but overall it is excellent. The dial has been restored by the Dial House. The weights, pendulum, beat scale, etc are original. Door latch is missing, but this can be replaced. Movement has been cleaned and re-strung, however the repairman was not aware that you need two idler pulleys at the top of the case, and you will need longer cable and 2 simple pulleys to complete the restoration. Most collectors can deal with this. For a picture of the movement, see Ly\'s 1998 Ansonia book, page 181. Height 68"
