    Antique Ansonia "Grandfather" Model Clock

    Previous Model - Next Model
    Grandfather

    Catalog Description:

C.1880, Ansonia Clock Co, "Grandfather" traveling calendar clock with moonphase. This is a rare novelty clock. The dial center has come loose and is flopping around (Ansonia trademark is faint but legible). The original moon disc is still good (rotates OK) and the chapter ring and calendar indications are all sharp. The case itself is worn to brass in several spots and the spelter trim ring and pedestal have lost their nickel. See Ly (2nd Ed) page 77 for picture of both clock and movement. In perfect order, this would bring $1200. Height 7 " Reserve $575
