    Antique Ansonia "Prompt" Model Clock

    Previous Model - Next Model
    Prompt

    Catalog Description:

Ansonia Clock Co. "Prompt", ca 1901. A big clock at 50inches tall, made with black walnut and is very nice from top to bottom. Top is questionable although it matches the case perfectly. I happen to have another Prompt that I know the top is original and I can see no difference between them. If it is a new carving, it was professionally done. One of the ears on top looks like it is broken when looking from the back, but the break or wood flaw did not go thru to the front. I have never had or seen a Prompt with an original patterned glass like this one. They don\'t even picture one in the catalogs. 8 day, double spring, time only, running. Signed beat scale, correct pendulum with minor dings. Dial is new paper on the old pan. Ly-Ansonia No.599.
