    Virginia and Group No. 1121

    Catalog Description:

C.1904, Ansonia, "VIRGINIA and GROUP No. 1121", in very good original condition. This is another published use of the boar hunter clock top. Note the fancy gilt dial with individual chevron numerals. The case retains most of its original gilding with a light bronze finish one the curved frieze panels. This is a heavy clock. See Ly page 408, index No. 1588; this clock cost $72.50 when new while a \'Hanging Antique\' cost $70. Only now do we see that the wood was a better investment. Height 24.5 inches
